Johannesburg – Thursday 1 April 2021 – The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) would like to apologise for the interruption to its broadcasts this morning, due to a power failure at its head office in Auckland Park. This is as a result of power supply issues from City Power. RSG and SAFM that were impacted are now back on air.
The public broadcaster apologises for the interruption.

MEDIA STATEMENT | MINIMAL CHANGES TO RSG SCHEDULE  

 

Johannesburg – Wednesday, 31 March 2021 – SABC Radio Station, RSG is pleased to announce that there will be minimal changes to its line-up in 2021.

The agriculture program, ‘RSG Landbou’ has moved to an earlier slot of 05:00-06:00 and will form part of the already automated program schedule from midnight until 06:00, which will precede the popular current affairs show ‘Monitor’.

Even more good news is that popular hosts Martelize Brink and Johan Rademan of the show ‘Driesestig’, will now be broadcast uninterrupted from 13:00-15:00 weekdays, with the current affairs show, ‘Spektrum’ now airing from 12:00-13:00.

RSG listeners can also look forward to new programme series, an exciting new radio drama season and features from Monday the 5th of April 2021.

Johannesburg – Wednesday, 31 March 2021 – Phalaphala FM will be making changes to its current line-up, with the aim of offering its listeners a fresh listening experience.

 

From 1 April 2021, Zwamitambo the weekday sports hour from 19h00 – 20h00 will be presented by the versatile presenter Rampsie Rampfumedzi, while Billy Matidza will present Hu Duba Buse, on Saturdays and Sundays between 14h00 – 18h00.

 

The energetic Rofhiwa Nekhumbe, will take over the Top 30 show, Phenyadzinwe on Fridays from 21h00 – 00h00. He will also present Vhandilani, on Saturdays between 07h00 – 09h00 and Dikita [Party time] Saturdays between 21h00 – 00h00.

 

The talented Mboneni Munyai will take over the Reggae music show on Saturdays between 12h00–14h00 while the Tshivenda traditional music show, Nambi ya dzinambi will be presented by Hulisani Phosiwa, a presenter with a vast knowledge of music, between 09h00 and 11h00.

 

On Sundays, the popular Drama Omnibus will be broadcast between 04h00 – 05h00 while the gospel show, Gondo Vhugala, will be presented by Pastor Holy Mike from 07h00 – 10h00.

 

Our ballads show, Vhugalatenga, will be presented by Terry Mudau from 10h00 – 12h00. The new slot for Jazz music will be Sundays from 21h00 till 00h00.

 

The rest of the shows will remain as they are and we appeal to our loyal listeners to give presenters the necessary support as always. RI Na ‘now Miso Bothe!

MEDIA STATEMENT | NO MAJOR CHANGES TO MOTSWEDING FM LINE-UP

Johannesburg – Wednesday, 31 March 2021 – Motsweding FM management continues to re-evaluate the brand’s offering to put Motsweding FM in a better spot to be more relevant to the station’s audience and clients.  Underscoring the need to stay relevant, competitive and to reflect the multifaceted interests of all generations, Motsweding FM will not be making drastic changes to its weekday and weekend line-up from 01 April 2021, but make an addition to the drive time team. The current line –up necessitates stronger emphasis on cultural values, identity, preserving and development of Setswana heritage.

Amon Mokoena and Tumi Morake will continue to host the much entertaining PBS breakfast show of the year‘DiRage’ that boast over 1 million listeners Mon-fri. They will be joined by Mosela Mokgosi as the Sports bulletins presenter on the show between 07:00 – 10:00.

 

The vibrant, energetic, and PBS Presenter of the year LucasLTK’ Komanisi will be joined by the versatile Nelly Moruri to rock your airwaves between 15:00 to 18:00 ‘Gotetsa’ Monday-Friday.

 

The religious programme for Thursday Nights between 20:00 to 00:00 will be presented by Modisane Modise, with ‘Pastor Motsamai’ to do the sermons on the show.

 

The DJ Big Boy will host the ‘Rap Saga’ on Fridays at 20:00 to 22:00 and ‘Phenyo Phushudi will be flying solo on the “Ke Moteng” show from 22:00-00:00 and on Saturdays between 21:00-00:00. The Saturday breakfast show will be hosted by “Sammy Fever & JD Sol” between 06:00-09:00. Followed by Tlotlo Mooketsi who is popularly known as ‘Vrrrrphhaaa’ will now host the station music chart ‘Diabalola’ from 09:00-12:00.

 

The deep house specialized music show ‘Re Mmino’ will see ‘Vrrrrphhaaa’  joining ‘DJ Big Boy’  between 18:00-21:00 to continue delivering quality deep house music to the listeners.

 

Saturday and Sunday mornings will be ushered in by the new “Konka Club Mix” 2 x1 hour set by resident and guest DJs. The young and energetic Ikanyeng Masenamela will host the 02:00-04:00 “Di A Boa” music show. The nifty ‘Tebogo “TJH” Hotane’ will rock the station airwaves with Mekonko from 04:00 – 06:00.

 

Tomaeza will host the Sunday morning ‘Di A Boa’ between 02:00-04:00. All other shows will remain unchanged.

Port Elizabeth- Wednesday, 31 March 2021 Umhlobo Wenene FM will be making minor changes to its current line-up, which has successfully served the station’s audience in the past year. The station is proud to announce that Mr. Putco Mafani and Ms Ongeziwe Mjana will be joining the station’s superb line-up as Sports presenters from Thursday, 01 April 2021.

 

Putco Mafani is not new to the station and has vast experience in the world of sport, including sports sponsorship, marketing and communications. He is a well-known broadcaster across South Africa and beyond its borders.   Putco brings his immense talent and creativity into the shows that he will be presenting.

 

He has been entrusted with presenting a popular sports show, Ezemidlalo, Mondays to Thursdays, from 19h00-20h00. He will also present an exciting Saturday morning sports show, Ezemidlalo Nolonwabo breakfast sport, from 07h00-09h00.
