Johannesburg – Sunday 19 May 2019 – The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) is pleased to announce that its Radio Park building in Auckland Park, Johannesburg has been cleared and declared safe for occupation and handed back to the SABC, following a final air sampling and health and safety inspection conducted by representatives of the Johannesburg EMS and Fire Chief earlier today.
Johannesburg – Friday, 10 May 2019 – The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) is pleased to announce that it will broadcast the ABSA Premiership and the Premier League 2018/2019 title deciding matches this coming weekend.
This bumper sporting weekend will see SABC Sport broadcasting the Orlando Pirates vs Polokwane City match on SABC 1 at 14h30 on Saturday in the ABSA Premiership League. With all ABSA Premiership matches kicking off simultaneously at 15h00, SABC Sport will be providing live updates of the other matches including the other title deciding match between Free State Stars and Mamelodi Sundowns.
Johannesburg – Tuesday 07 May 2019 – The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) and Athletics South Africa (ASA) are pleased to announce that they have reached a one year agreement.
The agreement will see the SABC producing and broadcasting the Comrades Marathon, Cape Town Marathon and Soweto Marathon. The Comrades Marathon, which takes place on 9 June 2019, will be broadcast live on SABC 2 from 5h30.

After due consideration of the findings and recommendations of a disciplinary process, the Board resolved to terminate the contract of employment of its Chief Operations Officer, Mr. Chris Maroleni, with immediate effect.
