The policies relate to all SABC content, and to services for both national and international audiences. They apply to all the services, irrespective of whether they are carried on radio, television or digital media.
The applicability of the policies extends to both the SABC’s public and commercial services with varying intensity, depending on the specific issues being dealt with. Where they have particular relevance to either portfolio, this is stated. Where the policies refer to particular designations, these may change from time to time, and in the case of this happening, action flowing from the policies should involve the appropriate and relevant personnel at that time.
