Johannesburg – Friday, 05 November 2021 – SABC Sport is pleased to announce the broadcast of the first Soweto Derby of the 2021/22 season on Saturday, 6 November 2021 at 14:30. Kaizer Chiefs will host Orlando Pirates at the FNB Stadium with the game set to broadcast on SABC 1 and all SABC African Language radio Stations.

Mr. Gary Rathbone, SABC Sport General Manager stated that  “SABC Sport is embedded in the culture of South Africa and we extremely excited to broadcast a fixture of this magnitude. Both teams have played a pivotal role in building the sporting culture in South Africa and SABC is thrilled to showcase these powerhouse teams go head-to-head for the first time this season. We believe that the broadcast reinforces our #WeLoveItHere message to our viewers by showcasing world class talent and putting them in the front seat to experience the very best in South African sport.”
