Johannesburg – Tuesday, 02 November 2021 – This morning SABC Sport hosted Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos, who announced the 24-man final squad for the last two matches of the FIFA World Cup, Qatar 2022 – African Qualifiers.
Bafana Bafana leads group G with ten points, followed by Ghana with nine points from the four matches played thus far. In the remaining two matches, South Africa takes on Zimbabwe Thursday 11 November, followed by an away game on Sunday 14 November 2021 with Ghana. The SABC will continue to create a groundswell of support through its #AsibuyeliEmuva: Forward-We-Go campaign. The campaign aims to galvanise the nation to get behind Bafana Bafana in pursuit of qualifying for the FIFA World Cup, Qatar 2022.
The nation is encouraged to wear their green and gold on the 11th and 14th of November and send messages of encouragement using #AsibuyeliEmuva. #AsibuyeliEmuva.

The SABC Head of Sport Gary Rathbone explained, “Once again, SABC Sport is happy to show live Bafana Bafana action on our Channels, especially for these crucial FIFA World Cup qualifiers where the National team’s performances have taken them to the top of their qualifying group. We’re sure the entire nation will be tuning to find out whether the team will win the group and a place in the final play-off for a ticket to Qatar 2022. As far as Mzansi TV drama goes, it doesn’t get any better than this”.
Both matches will be carried live on SABC Sport channel, SABC 1 and SABC Radio Stations, enabling viewers to consume the games in the language of their choice. The match between South Africa and Zimbabwe will kick off at 21h00 on Thursday, 11 November, while the match between South Africa and Ghana will be broadcast on Sunday, 14 November at 18h00. Both matches will have a studio build-up featuring top analysis.
