The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC), once again stood out amongst the pack, when it was recognised as the winner in the Broadcasting & Media Category at the recently held prestigious GradStar Students’ Choice Awards 2024!

According to The Students’ Choice Awards, they recognise “outstanding top graduate employers in South Africa. These Awards recognise employers that current tertiary students want to work for, as voted for by the students themselves”.

With over 30,000 responses received from graduates, the SABC stood out and was selected as a leader in broadcasting and media, reaffirming the exceptional work of the SABC’s Learning and Development team. This achievement highlights the SABC’s commitment to excellence and innovation and further solidifies the public broadcaster’s position as an employer of choice among South Africa’s top graduate students.

Furthermore, it reflects the exceptional efforts of the Learning and Development team, who play a pivotal role in shaping and running the organisation’s highly sought out internship program. Graduates who enter and successfully complete the programme, gain the skills and experience needed to thrive in our industry. This award is a testament to the impact of Learning and Development efforts in nurturing the future leaders of our broadcasting and media industry.
