Last Friday, the annual ATKV (Afrikaanse Taal en Kultuur Vereniging) media awards were presented at the stylish Katy\u2019s Palace Bar in Kramerville, Sandton. These awards recognise journalists, producers, presenters and actors to commemorate and celebrate the responsible work they do in informing, educating and entertaining South Africans.<\/span><\/p>\n

RSG presenters and programme makers have won in the following categories within the Listen (Radio) Section<\/em><\/strong>:<\/p>\n

  1. Best insert in a journal program: Johan van Lill for his insert on \u2018Oude Libertas 40 jaar\u2019 in RSG\u2019s arts program<\/li>\n
  2. Best presenter or interviewer of a news- or actuality program: Phil Loots for his program Fiks vir die lewe<\/em><\/li>\n
  3. Best insert in a news- or actuality program: Izak du Plessis for his insert on \u2018Paternoster vissers\u2019 in Monitor <\/em><\/li>\n
  4. Best journal program: Ilze Salzwedel for her program Skrywers en Boeke<\/em><\/li>\n
  5. Best news- or actuality program: Melissa Tighy for \u2018Landwye betogings teen Zuma\u2019 in Spektrum<\/em><\/li>\n
  6. Best documentary or program series: Jamaine Krige for Na die brande<\/em> on RSG<\/li>\n
  7. Best text for a radio drama or \u2013theatre: Marion Erskine for Akwarius <\/em>on RSG<\/li>\n
  8. Best producer of a radio drama or \u2013theatre: Bettie Kemp for Akwarius <\/em>on RSG<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    There were also award sections for print media (read) and TV (watch). Digital forms part of each section.<\/p>\n

    Congratulations to RSG and all the award winners \u2013 truly inspiring and very proud of the talent at the SABC\u2019s Afrikaans radio station!<\/p>\n
