{"id":14082,"date":"2023-03-02T14:16:40","date_gmt":"2023-03-02T14:16:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sabc.co.za\/sabc\/sabc\/?p=14082"},"modified":"2023-03-02T14:16:40","modified_gmt":"2023-03-02T14:16:40","slug":"media-statement-metro-fm-and-mo-flava-to-part-ways","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sabc.co.za\/sabc\/media-statement-metro-fm-and-mo-flava-to-part-ways\/","title":{"rendered":"MEDIA STATEMENT  |  METRO FM AND MO FLAVA TO PART WAYS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Johannesburg &#8211; Thursday, 02 March 2023 \u2013<\/strong> METRO FM, South Africa\u2019s biggest commercial radio station, regrets to announce that it has reached a mutual agreement with \u2018WAKE UP ON METRO FM\u2019\u00a0 breakfast show presenter, Mr Moeti <em>\u2018Mo Flava\u2019<\/em> Tsiki to part ways.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mo Flava, who joined the station eight (8) years ago, previously presented the afternoon drive show, before going on to successfully host the breakfast show on METRO FM.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">His last broadcast on METRO FM will be on Friday, 10 March 2023.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mo Flava, who will be pursuing other interests, stated, \u201cThe time has come for me to move on and explore other opportunities. I have spent eight amazing years at METRO FM and I appreciate the opportunity I was given to do top level radio and touch lives. The METRO FM listeners have a special place in my heart. I am looking forward to exploring new opportunities i have lined up in radio where I will continue to express my talent. I am also excited about TV opportunities in the horizon. I\u2019ll also continue to help young people who want to get into radio broadcasting through radio demo workshops\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ms Kina Nhlengethwa, METRO FM\u2019s Business Manager said, \u201cAs a station we consider ourselves fortunate to have experienced Mo Flava&#8217;s brilliance as a seasoned broadcaster.\u00a0 He has been consistent throughout the years in contributing meaningfully to the METRO FM brand.
