Takalani Sesame Muppets Roadshow heading for KwaZulu Natal.  |  Monday 17 September 2012 10:28

SABC Education’s Takalani Sesame Muppets are visiting KwaZulu Natal as part of Sanlam’s national 2012 roadshow.  The Muppets will be at the Kokstad Oval between 10h00 and 15h00 on 22 September 2012.

Over the past 12 years, the award-winning Takalani Sesame has provided South Africa’s children with educational, fun, entertaining and quality programming on SABC television channels and radio stations.   Muppets Kami, Zikwe, Moshe, Zuzu and Neno will entertain children on stage and in play areas.  Takalani Sesame is fun innovative programming that allows children to celebrate their childhood through learning, loving, playing, laughing and dreaming.

Takalani, which means ‘be happy’ in TshiVenda, conveys the spirit of happiness and innocence.  Takalani Sesame is brought to the children of South Africa through a partnership between SABC Education and Sanlam.  Sanlam have sponsored Takalani Sesame since the first broadcast in 2000.

Free State, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and Gauteng are next stops for the Muppets to visit; they recently completed an Eastern Cape roadshow.

Further information about the roadshows please contact event co-ordinator Tendani Matshisevhe from Sanlam on 082 560 9240 or 011 359 7868.
