SABC shines at the 11th annual SAFTA's

Johannesburg, Monday 20 March 2017 – The South African Broadcasting Corporation’s (SABC) television channels were recognised and awarded across various genres for excellent local programming, during the 11th annual South African Film and Television Awards, which were held at Sun City from the 16th to 18th March 2017. The awards honour, celebrate and promote the talent and accomplishments within the South African film and television industries.
The SABC was presented with the Golden Horn in a variety of genres and across the different production disciplines.
100% Youth - which airs on SABC 1 won Best Youth Programme
SABC 2 Bantu Hour – Best Production
50/50 - won - Best Magazine Show
Disney Cook About won - best children’s programme
High Rollers - which airs on SABC3 won - Best Achievement in Scriptwriting –TV Soap/ Telenovela.
SABC 3’s Expresso Show won Best Variety Show.
SABC presenter Puleng Molebatsi walked away with a Disability Special Recognition award for the strides she has made in television despite being a person with disability.
