|
|
|
JOHANNESBURG, 26 February 2010- 5FM announced today that Aisha Mohamed has been appointed the new Station Manager of popular commercial hit radio station 5FM, a position which she will take up on the 1st March. Aisha Mohamed will replace Acting 5FM Station Manager Johan van Rooyen. Aisha worked for 5FM Marketing from 2003 to 2008. She was promoted to Marketing Manager for the station in 2005 where she remained for three years, before accepting an offer to work for MTV Networks Africa as Marketing Manager for MTV Base, MTV Europe in Africa, VH1 and Nickelodeon. Aisha Mohamed says "I am very excited to be back at 5FM, a brand I am truly passionate about. I look forward to taking the brand to new heights whilst continuing to meet and exceed audience expectations. It 's a great challenge that I embrace wholeheartedly" "I am proof of the accessibility of the 5FM brand as I grew up listening to 5FM and always wanted to work for the station. It was a dream come true when my application explaining why I wanted to work for them was successful in 2003, and subsequently landed me a role in 5fm Marketing." Aisha's involvement in Media started out in sales and marketing at Primedia Broadcasting (including 702 Talk Radio). She then moved into events, sponsorships and promotions at Radmark, before she joined 5FM. During her original tenure at the station Aisha worked on a number of high profile events and campaigns, including the launch of the Power of Five campaign, which is still in place today.
