The SABC is proud to announce that the MHEG-5 profile for South Africa is now available for implementation in set top box decoders for Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT). The profile needs to be used by manufacturers to ensure that the MHEG engines in their set top box decoders are compliant.
This document provides the detailed specification of the MHEG-5 engine required in compliant digital TV receivers. This specification defines “application domain” in the terms set out in Annex D of ISO/IEC 13522-5. Click here to download the said specifications.
