Police make double bust at OR Tambo Airport

Three people have been arrested for dealing in drugs at the OR Tambo International Airport in two separate incidents.

Two of the suspects, a 37 year old man and a 27 year old woman are airport employees.

In the first incident on Saturday, police searched the hand luggage belonging to the two employees and found cocaine worth R5 million.

Later in the day police and customs officials intercepted a consignment of ephedrine at the Swiss Port.

The police's Vishnu Naidoo says the drugs were found concealed in vehicle oil filters packed inside containers. He says a 43 year old man was arrested for dealing in drugs.

“At this stage all three suspects are in police custody, they are expected to appear in the Kempton Park Magistrate's court on
Monday, on charges of dealing in drugs.
