Bloemfontein Celtic has fired coach Ernst Middendorp.

Celtic lost to AmaZulu in the Telkom Knockout on Saturday evening and have so far collected only six points from the seven games they've played in the league this season.

A news conference has been scheduled for 10am where Clinton Larsen is expected to be unveiled as Middendorp's successor. Larsen was previously Cletic's head coach from 2010 to 2013, before a stint at Maritzburg United and Roses United in the NFD.

The Celtic development will be the fifth coaching shuffle of the PSL season as teams get their houses in order before the second half begins.

Meanwhile, the AmaZulu win over Celtic came without embattled coach, Craig Rosslee, on the bench after he was given a temporary break and assistant Wilfred Mugeyi put in charge. Speculation has been rife that Roslee may be sacked at Usuthu.
