Apathy, Portraits in a Sea of Lies, The Colours of the Mountain and Dog Eat Dog are some of the films that will be aired at the First Colombian Film Showcase.

The showcase seeks to strengthen ties between South Africa and Colombia. After successful screenings in Johannesburg, the First Colombian Film Showcase moves to Cape Town on May 8.

Speaking on SABC 2's programme Morning Live Show Open Streets Artists, Marcela Guerro Casas, says the First Colombian Film Showcase is an initiative group by Colombians based in South Africa (Johannesburg and Cape Town) and in Colombia to share some of the artistic expression.

She says the first leg in Johannesburg was successful with lot of people coming to support the initiative, with others who were just curious. Casas says people from Cape Town can expect a variety of interesting films, and documentaries. –Edited by Takalani Sioga
