ANC spokesperson Zizi Kodwa says the party will approach the Press Ombudsman to probe what he claims to be shoddy journalism. (SABC)
The African National Congress (ANC) has vowed to take the Sunday Times to the Press Ombudsman over a front page article relating to the Gupta family's influence in government.
The paper reported that President Jacob Zuma's son, Duduzane, was present when the Guptas offered Deputy Finance Minister Mcebisi Jonas the Finance portfolio late last year.
Jonas was reportedly also offered the position by ANC deputy Secretary-General Jessie Duarte.
The ruling party has described the report as gossip masquerading as news.
