Matric students urged to register and receive matric results via SMS

In 2015, more than 300 000 students received results via the SABC Education SMS and USSD services.

SABC Education in partnership with the Department of Basic Education (DBE) is calling all South African matric students to register and receive their matric results through SMS or USSD lines.

Matriculants are urged to take advantage of the service whi9ch will give them access to results via SMS or USSD as soon as results are released to the general public.

To access the service, learners must send their ID number and student number  to 35658 to a charge of R1.00 per SMS. Another way to access the service is by learners dialling *120*35658#, put in their ID number and Exam number to register, once the results are available, they will get their results per subject.

SABC Education will run a call-centre to address issues relating to registration process, registration confirmation and queries on results received.

The National Senior Certificate results will be released at the different schools at 08h00 on Thursday the 5th of January 2017, except in the Western Cape, where the results will be made available on the 6th of January.
