A 16-year-old suspect from Motlhabeng village has been detained by the police at Bosasa rehabilitation centre in
Police say the suspect threatened to kill the minor, who was his neighbour, if she reported the matter.
"The incident occurred the beginning of August 2012. According to the information, the minor finally told her pre-school teacher this Thursday. The teacher alerted the mother and the police were called," says police spokesperson Ananda Funane.
Funane says the suspect was arrested on Friday and is expected to appear before the Mmabatho Magistrates Court on Monday.
