Limpopo police are searching for three gunmen who've robbed a supermarket and blasted an ATM on the N1 near Polokwane.
Police spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe says that the robbers have fled with an undisclosed amount of money. According to Ngoepe, a manhunt has been launched for three unknown suspects who attacked and bombed an ATM at the same Tweefontein Thatch Palace supermarket this morning.
Police say that no shooting took place and that anyone with information should contact them as their investigations are still continuing

Meanwhile, four suspects have been arrested for possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition in Philippi East in Western Cape. Police spokesperson FC van Wyk says that the arrests were made after a tip off from the community about a suspicious vehicle. Police on routine patrols stopped the vehicle in Lansdowne Road. Two firearms were recovered which include a 9mm R61 pistol and a pistol with unidentified calibre loaded with 12 live rounds of ammunition. Police also found five cell phones on the suspects. The men, aged between 28 and 35, are from Gugulethu and Nyanga. They will appear in the Athlone Magistrates Court tomorrow.
