Model and law graduate Reeva Steenkamp will be cremated in a private ceremony today. Steenkamp's funeral service is expected to be held at the Victoria Park Crematorium in Port Elizabeth this morning.
Many people that the model worked with have fond memories of her. Former Weekend Post fashion editor Barbara Robertson followed Steenkamp's career after meeting her as a 15-year-old girl who participated in a modeling competition.
"She was so sweet, got on well with others, was quirky, kind, individualistic, on the side of the underdog and loved to challenge most things, and humorous," Robertson said.
Robertson also says Reeva was a reliable and helpful person saying she was first to arrive and last to leave.
"Always willing to pack up and carry equipment. She was reliable. It was marvelous to know that when Reeva was around she would rally everyone together, and nothing was too much for her". "Reeva has gone long before her time. The world will be a duller place without her", Robertson added.
