The Convener of Save South Africa Sipho Pityana says the urgency for the removal of President Jacob Zuma has never been greater than today.

He was speaking ahead of the Conference for the Future of South Africa which starts in Johannesburg on Tuesday. Over 790 civil society organisations will meet to build new broad front against state capture.

He remains firm that Zuma must be removed from the presidency following the scandal of the Gupta leaked emails revealing of how this family benefited in tenders from the state-owned-entities like Eskom.

Pityana says, “With all the evidence and the outrage from ordinary people, following allegations of state capture and the Gupta emails, it is clear that South Africans wants the president to go.”
