The ANC Youth League (ANCYL) in the Eastern Cape says Premier Noxolo Kiviet has failed at issues of youth development during her State of the Province Address.

The League has been addressing the media in King William's Town focusing on ANC centenary celebrations held in East London last month and the State of the Province Address.

ANCYL  Provincial Secretary Mzonke Ndabeni says: “  We want  the location of the NYDA board as an entity to be housed, financed to be budgeted in the premier's office, to be supported administratively. We agreed with the premier about that. As part of the institutionalisation broadly of the youth development we agreed that all the departments of the Eastern Cape must establish what we call youth directorate so that issues of youth development can find expression in all government departments as part of the institutionalisation generally of  youth development. We further said even at the level of the municipality we must establish serious units that deals specifically with youth development. Now none of them featured at the State of the Province Address.

ANCYL in the Free State says it is rejecting the latest cabinet reshuffle by Premier Ace Magashule

Meanwhile, the ANCYL in the Free State says it is rejecting the latest cabinet reshuffle by Premier Ace Magashule.  The Youth League says the booted MECs were not informed why they were removed from the cabinet. Economic Affairs MEC Mxolisi Dukwana, also Free State ANC treasurer, was demoted to an ordinary legislator.

It says the provincial departments of Transport and Police have been placed under administration, but no such action has been taken against their MEC's.

Free State ANC Youth League Chairperson, Kgotso Morapela says: “ We are real rejecting the reshuffling by the Premier of the Free State because it is not informed by the procedures of the very same organisation that all of us must respect and we are real not happy in the manner in which he has handled the issue of the reshuffling. Moreso, a senior leader such as comrade Mxolisi Dukwana being booted out without being consulted properly by the structure of the organisation so that he can be told what are the real reasons for him to be taken out of the cabinet.”
