Police have confirmed that the blade runner and world champion sprinter Oscar Pistorius has been arrested. The action comes after a woman who is suspected to be his girlfriend was shot and killed at his home in Pretoria this morning. It is suspected that he may have mistaken her for a burglar.
Police spokesperson, captain Sarah Mcira confirmed she was shot in the arm and head. She died on the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are unclear.
