The Economic Freedom Fighter's co-ordinator in the Alfred Nzo region in the Eastern Cape, Nomakhosazana Cetywayo and 35 other former members have joined the African National Congress.
Cetywayo says they decided to join the African National Congress (ANC) because of what they call dictatorship and poor administration in the EFF.
She says: “We have decided to leave EFF early before wasting a lot of time because there is lot of maladministration, its workability is not strategic at all. When you look at the leaders, they just become leaders today without even consulting.”
We are basically attending to those issues, we are removing bottle necks
Cetywayo adds: “As I have been a member of the ANC a couple of years previously, I feel and very welcome and at home and it will be very warm.”
ANC provincial secretary Oscar Mabuyane has welcomed the new members. "We are always excited when we welcome our comrades back, we understand some of these pains they have been going through. There has been a problem that has been chasing them away from the ANC as well."
Mabuyane says: "We are basically attending to those issues, we are removing bottle necks. People must understand that to be an ANC member you are an activist , you are a volunteer , you are not a heir to the ANC, you do not own the ANC. So we are opening it up and people really love the ANC , they have demonstrated that wherever you go."
