Former Eskom CEO, Brian Molefe, says he has not been approached to consider taking up any position at the Public Investment Corporation.

He was reacting in a statement on Monday following media reports claiming that he was about to be appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the PIC.

Molefe added that none of the journalists who had written stories about this allegation had contacted him.

Meanwhile, on Friday the Federation of Trade Unions (Saftu) called for workers to have a direct representative in the board of the Public Investment Corporation to ensure transparency.

This amid denials by the Board of the PIC, that it has been captured.

It's been suggested that the meeting will be used to remove the PIC's current CEO Daniel Matjila to replace him with former Eskom CEO Brian Molefe.
