Proudly South African (Proudly SA) has encouraged South Africans to come up with innovative business ideas.

This is as the country celebrates 22 years of democracy.

Chief Executive Officer of Proudly South African, Leslie Sedibe, says ideas will translate into small businesses that will assist in growing the economy.

“In most leading economies in the world, more than 60% of the jobs in those economies are created in the small business sector.  And these are entrepreneurs who make sacrifices to make sure that they are able to build stronger economies, in the process creating jobs for the economy to be able to thrive.”

Sedibe adds: “It’s also about enterprise development and this is our call to big business that we need to support small businesses and make sure that we open opportunities for them by creating market access.”
