Dlamini-Zuma lashes out at Rupert on radical economic transformation

African National Congress (ANC) presidential hopeful Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma has lashed out at wealthy businessman Johan Rupert, following the businessman's comments that the term radical economic transformation is being used by those wanting to loot state resources.

Dlamini-Zuma wasted no time and criticised those who she says do not want to economic transformation. She made the comments during an interfaith player service in Phoenix, north of Durban.

"I take exception to what Johan Rupert about radical economic transformation being used by those who are seeking to loot state resources. If there are thieves there must be dealt with but we are not thieves."

Dlamini-Zuma also reiterated her call for unity within the tripartite alliance, saying divisions are weakening the ANC. She also said those who lead the organisation should be ethical and principled.
