The ANC in the Western Cape says it will start what it has termed an 'aggressive' campaign in April to regain control of the province from the DA.
Provincial chairperson, Marius Fransman, says they will deploy 5 000 volunteers to conduct door-to-door campaigns every day until 2014 elections.
Fransman was adressing party supporters at centenary celebrations in Phillipi on the Cape Flats.
He says there's not much time left to achieve their goal.
"There's only 415 days left before the elections and by the first of April this year, there must be 5 000 volunteers going into sabatical full time, deployed to elections unit, that will walk area to area for the next 12 months in an effort to defeat of the Democratic Alliance in this province."
He says they will find the best skilled people to help them win back the Western Cape.
