An IFP councillor has been found dead.(SABC)

The body of an Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) councillor, Themba Xulu, was found in a sugar cane plantation today. Police also found the body of a policeman next to Xulu.
Xulu was taken away from his hostel at KwaMashu near Durban on Friday night by men posing as police officers .
Yesterday, thousands of IFP supporters vowed not to leave the area until police presented Xulu to them.
Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa promised the crowd that they would leave no stone unturned in ensuring that Xulu is found. There were sporadic shots around the hostel area yesterday and one woman was found dead and five others wounded.
The family of the woman who was shot dead says it wants the perpetrators to be brought to book soon. Ndumo Ntuli says his mother, Celiwe, was shot for no apparent reason.
