ANC veteran Winnie Madikizela-Mandela says December will be a determining month when the ANC will have to think of a new leadership.

The Nelson Mandela foundation, together with the Oliver and Adelaide Tambo foundation marked Mandela Day at the Adelaide Tambo School for the Physically Challenged. Tuesday July 18 marks the birthdays of both Adelaide Tambo and Nelson Mandela.

The Tambo and Nelson Mandela foundation's joined hands to spread some cheer. Gifts and money were donated to the Adelaide Tambo School for the Physically Challenged.

Volunteers also took to cleaning and planting trees.

Dali Tambo, Adelaide Tambo's son says: “My dad was never there he was always flying around and she was in a country with no friends and family only the few that had arrived earlier. She started to earn that reputation of being the mother of the ANC.”
